What you're more likely to find if you go over budget is that the board will restrict the wages you are allowed to offer potential new signings, meaning you have to move players out before you can get any more in.

To be honest, I've brought in all the players I want for the new season.....(Third season, 2 successive promotions, Chesterfield now in the Championship... ).....But I have gone a touch over my budget (45k with a 42.2k budget).
I just wondered would my chairman start demanding I shed some players (or else....).

Wouldn't have thought so, you're only £3k over.
Unless the club is in the deep brown stuff financially you should be safe from that.
Kick some of your reserve players out on loan with a recall clause if you want to save yourself some wages.

He'll want something in return though!

Is anyone finding there are a lot of injuries on the latest patch? I've started a new game as Everton and after fielding a decent lineup in the first game I am now left with a Saints-esque injury crisis. Cahill played 3 minutes of the first game and broke his leg and by the 3rd game I was down 12 first team players.
Bidwell, Duffy, Vellios, Craig, Wallace, Kinsella and Mustafi have all played in the Premier League so far, Vellios and Wallace have been regulars for about 15 games now. I'm in 15th and don't have a senior striker or midfielder fit bar Rodwell. When I do get some back the likes of Beckford and Felliani disappear on international duty.
Not really noticed that many injuries you must be just unlucky. However I did buy Simon KJaer from Wolfsburg, had him for 3 days and he was then out for 11 months with a viral infection.
Anyone got any recommendations for a cheap striker to play in Scotting First Divison? just heading into my second season with Dundee and need a striker because Leigh Griffiths is wanting out, not had any offers yet but he wants to leave and he's out of contract after this season so could do with a replacement coming in soon.
