If I hear another collective moan at the team setting up and attack by moving the ball back into the middle of the park and taking the tackle, I'm going to shoot someone! They seem to expect us to score off every play!

Setting up the play is all well and good and it is necessary, and I agree some of the fans seems to moan far too much about it BUT the problem we have with it is we do it far too often. It leads to our plays being predictable and allows the opposition time to get set.

The time it is probably the most annoying is off the back of a penalty, we'll kick for touch, get a tap in the middle of the field then drive it in to 'set the play' 5 yards further up the field then the initial tap. Why do you need to set a play that was already set? I think its this that has led to our predictability and allowed teams to read our plays far too easily.

We look our best when we are playing the ball quickly and rolling down the field, this is when dobbo, green et al seem to have the creativity we know they have.

I have to agree with the commet about Nev being this years scapegoat, he had a pretty good game yesterday and yet from the second he came on fans were moaning about him being a donkey, you need to give credit along with the flack.

Nev did well what Nev does.
But when looking at Bradford I would have chosen a player with more attacking credentials as their defence is gash.
Nev is the kind of player you play against Saints/Wigan/Hudds/Wire when you know you are going to be up against it.
Playing him yesterday made no sense to me.

If you only knew the POWER of the dark side.

Erm, sorry to be negative but IMO the way we've been this season I think it's Salford who are nailed on for a quarter-final place.

He did and thats all you can ask from him. Not his fault he got picked, he put in a decent performance.
I agree we need better squad players than him to challenge but for fans to constantly slag him off regardless of how he plays is a bit unfair.

Loving the respect Matt Cook has earned from the East Standers by the way, perfect example of how players need a bit of time and patience to settle in at a club eh. Actually think he's been one of our MVP's this season.

I'm a fan of Nev personally, works his ball$ off every game for us and rarely makes mistakes. Given great service to the club over the years.

Whilst I agree that Nev probably doesnt do enough to warrant an extension, saying you wanted to go home when you saw be was playing is stupid and destructive.

You won't win, he's this seasons scapegoat. For me he is worth what we pay him, we cannot have 25 Dobbo's or Newton's, we need good squad players as well.

I've been quite critical of him, but what I'm actually critical of is the amount of game time he gets, it's more a criticism of our tactics. I think he's a good squad player and he definitely should get game time but that we have better players not getting the same amount of game time in Wheeldon, Taylor and until recently Cook who are not being used enough.

I like Netherton, he certainly gives his all, I'm just not sure we've utilised the squad to it's maximum potential this year. I'm also aware that the players I've listed are very different and offer different qualities to Netherton, it just comes down to tactics and game plan for me.

I definitely do not consider Netherton to be anywhere near the main reason for this seasons disappointments so far.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas
