newton is a big under rated signing for us, great player, great athlete, real pro. not sure he would be after rep honours, as good as he is over here, the game looks a lot faster and tougher in the nrl and there is more competition for places at rep level.
would be a shame if he went back with no silverware.

It just wasn't, maybe it's because I no longer live in (well, it was near) the fair city, that I don't find the banter as grating but come, she can be funny at times, and lets face it our club has certainly left itself open to a bit of ribbing in recent times.

constant barage of We have a swear filter for a reason-RW, not funny, boring, there are a few stay away from this forum because of it. not put up with on the fc board.
as for the club they took a gamble to get a big name player accross, its gone pete tong, but it's not over yet. there is still a chance mason will play again for the club. should we be less ambitious and drop back into nl1?
if newts did go at the end of the season, i would have no hesitation to throw taylor and cox in at the deep end, give them a real oppertunity.

Cheers, my little waddling chum. Does anyone seriously think Newton would consider an early return to Aus? Of all the Rovers players, apart perhaps from your objectionable Normanton utility person, he seems the most wedded to the cause, the embodiment of Rovers success of the last 4 years IMO. Would be the loss of a talisman, and one I'd expect a chuffing enormous uproar about if he did decide to do a Crossman.

We'll all get bollocked for this, but I'll take the hit, apparently there are a few stay away from the board because of my interminable dribble. We can't all like each other.

I think the club was correct to gamble on Mason, with the twenty twenty of hindsight, we should have had other issues resolved before announcing it, but that's on't t'other thread.
Taylor and Cox are the future, we need to blood them properly, otherwise, they'll have half a good season, be awful and then get binned off to another club as was happening with Wigan's players five years ago when they craved instant success.

He might, and as this is his career and he appears to be an ambitious person he should.

I think he gives his all whenever he pulls on a shirt, I don't think he's the embodiment of the club. I enjoy and respect his passion but if he wants to go onto other things than if it's done in the right way (see Graham vs. Eastmond) unless you're an idiot, you can't wish then anything other than Thank You and good luck.
Edit; I've ballsed that up, I can't be bothered to re edit, the second quoty bit is highlighted with mine and Coffee's posts, sorry.

interesting reading on comments made by fans on an article regarding newtons possible return to newcastle. not that bothered about him going back. over rated, walked out on the club, etc.
hope he's read it, might stay then.

They've got three very good back rowers at the club already.

How long are you expecting him to play for?
