 or half a meter aka 1.7 feet.

1 metre = 3.28 feet

He's a tall lad is Ian Kirke.

No because you then don't factor in the time it takes Netherton to get to his feet compared to Kirke, does Jason get a quicker play the ball away meaning on the back of his drive do we then make up that half a meter?

Also stats can't tell you everything about a player. Kirke may in one game have got a 70mtr break down field thus putting his average up massively compared to Netherton.

If Justin Morgan, Brian McClennan, Tony Smith and Brian McDermott all see fit to pick this style of player then there must be something in it as two of them have coached internationally and one has brought through some of the best youngsters this country has to offer! Pretty sure your time spent working out all those numbers could have been spent doing something far more interesting and productive?!

Actually, I've changed sides again.

IK takes 27 seconds to get up after being tackled where as JN leaps majestically from the ground like a salmon returning up the Tay from it's thousand mile migration on it's way back to the pool of it's birth to spawn.

This allows us to get quicker ptb's and therefore make more metres, just not metres made by JN, he's busy spawning.

So you are just going to guess stuff to back up your arguement now then.

Oh and BTW 3 coaches have picked IK this is true but only 1 has picked JN although this was a nice attempt at spin.

The word "does" and the "?" isn't guessing at all it is asking the question. But as you can't google or use the SL website to support the answer to that question your a little bit stuck!

Your post completely backed my original answer to your question, then to try and say they are not similar just because of a few extra yards or other stats. Both have been coached by different coaches and one playing in a championship winning side, so naturally ones stats should be better but what is evident is that his stats are not massively different and I would GUESS that Jase would have done better over the years playing in that kind of a team.

Ok we get it you don't like Jason Netherton's style of play, it probably won't win us silverware and we should be signing better all round players. Just one thing...get your wallet out and pay for these players that will want at least double what Netherton earns. You can't keep expecting our board of directors to fund all these superstars and still expect them to replace a good solid worker like JN.

I'm not stuck at all I have presented my FACTS which back up my point.
IK is a better player than JN it isn't my fault you can't see what is presented in front of you.

My post didn't back you up at all unless you are now agreeing that IK is far better on offloads and meters gained per tackle (Lets just pretend you didnt make a silly arguement about who get off the floor quicker  ).

2 things firstly I spend more than my fair share on HKR.
Secondly last time I checked we are at full cap.
Infact I honestly think we could get rid of JN and never notice (How many team missed tackles/lack of offloads/lack of meterage again?)so you could argue that his wage is actually a waste anyway.

This was what you asked for. Your word here is LIKE, that to me shows that Ian Kirke is LIKE Jason Netherton in that he is a defensive player who doesn't make great yards and although offloads more could be more to do with the team he plays in rather than Jason not doing it. As we can all see Rovers as a team do not offload as much as Leeds and putting JN in that team he MAY offload more.

So your like for like figures showed that I had found a player that plays for a TOP CLUB that is LIKE Jason Netherton.
