Oh everyone please get a grip FFS.
Let's see some positives. It was bad enough at the game with all the whinging.
1 Batley played very well.
2 LOD played very well
3 We got away with making many changes and still won
4 It was a win
5 It was a win
I saw Bramley draw 24-24 with Wigan in the CC in 1984 and it would have been a win to Bramley had a guy called Shaun Kilner not miss a last minute drop goal by inches - they went on to Wembley.
Giants were down and out against Cas two years ago and playing terribly - they went on to Wembley.
It's a big game v a weakened Sts next week. i'd rather everyone keep their best performances for that when a full strength team will be out.
It's been years since I've been to Batley and I forgot how steep the pitch is. Batley used it well and came out of the blocks in Defence. Giants Didn't. But at the end of the day no-one cares if you win by one or one hundred and one in the cup.
We may go on and win the cup but after a performance like that we would be lucky to win another game, last 4 games we haven't been at the races and something has clearly gone t*ts up.
Could be Nathans annual do I stay or do I go performance(why he does it every may is beyond me as he off nowhere till end of season) or could be something else?
Some of the team look like their confidence is shot to pieces and the try where Batley scored as 4 of our players looked at each other was laughable.
Batley were the better team today and you could not tell which was the SL team, there is some work to be done and by brushing it under the carpet, we solve nothing.
So whatever happens in the next games let's not forget Crusaders, Castleford, Catalans and Batley to name just a few games where we didn't perhaps do as well as we could have?
By the way these are just opinions and we all have differing ones else would be pretty boring.
