As most know on here i'm an exiled Saint living in Sheffield & follow the Eagles now too so I really didn't know what to do today. I went with my dad (an avid Saints fan) and sat near most Eagles fans & wore my Eagles shirt.

Decided to cheer on the Eagles, seeing as we were underdogs but I didn't cheer much as it was really weird to be cheeing against Saints. I did jump up and scream & shout as Q went in for the last few tries though.

Was a great display by the boys and really stood up against a good side. Thought the ref was harsh with his 10 metres (even my dad stook up for Sheffield on this) and the whole drop goal/20 metre debacle summed it up.

Excellent vocals by everyone and hope we can continue this & hopefully te performance with misi & our dual reg players back to perhaps get a win against Leigh next Sunday.

The way EVERY player was cheered as they came off for interchanges was fantastic.

On another note - do visiting players often get hattricks vs Saints?

I don't know what everyone thought about the 6-1 penalty count. Seemed a bit harsh to me. The play the ball is generally slower in the Championship so I would have thought a bit of latitude is in order. What's reasonable for a full time player isn't necessarily reasonable for a part timer.

Well the fans in the "Sheffield end" told Ben Failure what we thought at the time.

Indeed, whilst the rules are the same across the board, a bit of simple common sense is needed.

There's no specified time for a ptb in the laws of the game.

Having said that, there is a specified distance for the defenders to retire but referees just ignore that.

Correct, rules state defenders must retreat arms length when tackled called by the ref.

Ben got 58 out 100 rating - which I suppose is better than 48.....?

Couldn't have been more proud, not many SL teams will put 26 points passed Saints, had we have converted them all 30! Wish we'd have drawn Bradford we'd be playing Fev next. Bradford are absolutely garbage. We did out sing Saints, we're the best fans in any league and I'm in no way bias.
