Not sure I agree really. Neither Mason nor Long have set the world on fire this season, have they? Long has played more minutes than Mason and had a big hand (albeit a dislocated one, but good enough on the day given the opposition) in the game that pretty much defines our relative league positions thus far. Plus he's not caused us to hack off the RFL with continuous dispensation seeking. Nor been photographed schmoozing with RU clubs on a Wednesday afternoon in France. Nor caused an inventory issue with 7500 surplus special flags in the shop. I don't think either rate as a their respective club's best value for money.

"7500 surplus special flags in the shop"

Would the crowd need 3 each? :)

More than 500 flags sold, not masons fault about the passport and no photo graphic evidence that he was seen smooching in France and longeys thumb was broken not dislocated which is I presume what you mean. Mason has had 6 weeks to prove his worth how much has longey had

Longy does prove his worth when playing, and I think we are seeing the benefits of having such revered players in the squad, off the field aswell. Injuries are just unlucky like that. Mason must be causing such harmony in the dressing room when the academy lads wheel in the barrow containing his paycheck.

Hurrah!

Hudgell's admitted it was his error, but it still compromises Willie's ability to deliver, surely?

That would be a whole other scandal. I know he's been in a brothel before, but I'm not sure that's what your're really suggesting, is it?

Even more impressive by him, then, thanks

He signed 8 months ago today. £50k later and the meter's running. At least Long is eligible to play if he ever regains fitness.

BTW, Dowes, eh? A season and a half of tackle-busting supremacy.

What's dowes got to do with it, again it's not masons fault that he has had to wait for his passport which will arrive I've no doubt, and very brave of longey u must be very proud of him,and with the money that longey is on mason got quite a long way to catch up to him, if he ever does that remains to be seen, did Ur club ever get a refund of crocker for his non turn up

When you buy more merchandise than you sell, you have excess inventory. It was just a cheeky suggestion that if you haven't sold all the 8000 Willie Mason flags, you'll be sat on a stockpile of them. I like the new Mason-loving attitude Roofs. Good for you for being open-minded enough to changing opinion so whole-heartedly.

Look, we're drifting a bit off Dowes v Clinton tacklebusts here and Roverswall will be unhappy about it. I expect Clinton to make up some ground this weekend against York, but sadly CC tacklebusts don't count . Disappointing.

Accountancy trade a little slow my dear?

Mrs Barista wrote: HPFABB

This kind of anachronism was an in gag on Substandard, used to annoy opposition fans. Doesn't really work when you, as an opposition fan creates it for a player of a club you don't support.

Pretty poor this sort of shizzle.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas
