We, (Ashton Bears) were last years Merit League winners and used it as a way of establishing our 'A' side who have just finished 3rd in NWC 6.
We will be entering a 'B' side this summer made up of players who haven't had a lot of game time in the winter with lads from our u17's plus lads who are with us for the summer from other clubs. We are training Tuesday & Thursdays 6.30pm at our Low Bank Rd ground until the end of May then reverting to one night per week if anyones looking for some summer rugby.
We have some fixtures confirmed but have some gaps so please contact via pm or through the email addresses given out from the Merit League meetings.

Very tight game at Wigan with the Riversiders Eels scoring late to beat Salford Central 18-13. Central played well and I expect them to be in the mix at play-off time.

how did you go against the lads from fleetwood over the weekend, coaster?
The Riversiders second team are looking to fill a gap we now have for this weekend in the ML, unfortunately Mancunians are unable to raise a second team. We are looking to play the game at home with a 1245 KO.
Please let us know ASAP if you can step in and take this fixture up.
