Without doubt the worst game iv'e seen so far on tv this season. It was absolutely shocking.3600 on, WTF is paying these people to turn up and watch this rubbish.
Its this ingenious idea dreamt up by Steve O'Connor - Give people cheaper rates for a Super League - but only if you sign up now. Widnes are switching away from season tickets and moving to monthly subscription to watch games. Current season ticket holders will get the next 3 years at £13.99 a month - non season ticket holders can sign up before the end of May for £15.99 a month, non season ticket holders who leave it until next year to sign up will cost them £17.99 a month.
Apparantly we've had 600 new members since the scheme was launched a few weeks ago. Still well short of how many new members we need by next year, but the SL announcement has already gained us £9,594 a month extra in season ticket / subscriptions even though SL is still ages away. If we can get to 1,000 new members by the end of May, even if no-one else signs up it will have still earned the club an extra £100,000 before SL kicks off.
