last two tries from fc gave the scoreline a more true reflection, dissapointed we never got fifty wth all the possesion in the second half. rovers had to rely on dobson and green kicking on the 3rd and 4th tackle numerous times in the second half, and very poorly in dobsons case, didnt look fit at all

Brilliant game, some great attacking from Hull and really good defence from Dobbins. Was bound to crack at some point, though. Thought scoreline reflected in the end.

He looked okay with ball in hand and his defence was fine. I wouldn't say he didn't look fit, just had a poor day kicking from hand.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Hull deserved to win. Our tactics are so annoying at times though. When teams control us on the floor like FC did today our ultra conservative game plan falls on its face simply because we are too easy to read and control. I mean today as an example, We take the ball up with no intention of offloading therefore FC can stick 3/4 men in the tackle safe in the knowledge that they can, but when FC take the ball up we can only afford 1/2 men in the tackle as we have to watch for offloads etc, One of these situations leads to large meter making one doesn't. This sitution is only going to get worse as more and more teams do a Wigan/Hudds in the tackle, You cannot play safety first rugby against that and expect to win.

To allow that many offloads is criminal, manus at the end was superb and it pains me to say it but they look like a top 8 side, we do not. Bentham got it wrong with Vellas pass to Cockayne which gave them even more advantage at the end and was suckered into a penalty by Briscoe moving off his mark into Netherton.
