Ely always gives 100% and his enthisiasm is obvious and rubs off on others. With Fawcet missing he could have played in the half backs.

Say what you mean and mean what you say because those who matter don't mind and those who mind don't matter.

I came away from the game reasonably satisified although i do think we could have taken 3 points from this one. I agree that we looked really small up front in comparison to the hulks Haven had on show, may be we should be looking at this. We missed a couple of tackles which ended up in long range tries. We did have a spell where we had a few sets on their line in the second half but to be honest didn't really look like scoring. A bit more flair going forward would have opened a few gaps in the strong defence and maybe we could have pipped this one. Overall i am not too dispondant, a good bonus point at one of our notorious black spots. I was pleased after the game that the players and staff we talked to were dissapointed that they didn't win, a good sign i think.

I was dissapointed (this is me being pc) with a number of the haven fans who were calling the ref a cheat on the occasions the calls went our way. Overall i thought the ref was probably one of the better ones we have seen this year. Lets not get too down following a couple of defeats, think about where we were this time last year!! I would like to see some more craft in attack and a little less one man rugby but i am happy with the progress to date. We have a few players who may be able to add something on their return, lets wait and see. Enjoy the fact that we have a team that on their day can not only compete but can beat the best in this league.

We'll find out on Monday, since we will be playing the best in this league.

War does not determine who is right - only who is left.

Thank God I'm an atheist.

And on a slightly different note ...
From the Free Press:
Quote:Ryan Steen's last minute try was a mere consolation as Doncaster failed to pick up a losing bonus point.
Now anyone can make a mistake ... apart from smart-arses like me  ..but Steen aside (it was Robinson actually), a mere glimpse at the score would show to Paul Goodwin (the author/reporter) that he had made a howler.
