Go on, try. Speculate as to why the RFL would ignore Dobbo if they were in receipt of, and believed to be true, Hudge's assurances that the de-registration was only for a very short time and the passport was in the (mail)bag.
That's all I've done. But they are, as you rightly point out, my thoughts and not facts. Yet.
(By the way, I love this "fertive" word. I think it's a bit speculative. It could mean my imagination is either furtive or fertile or both! Fabulous, I will be using it for myself if you don't mind.)
