I find the fact that Dobson is not nominated very strange indeed.
If, as some on here believe, Mason's passport has actually arrived and the re-registration of Dobson is a done deed pending a "timely boost" of an announcement then Dobson's name on the list would have been a shoe in, imo.
The fact that it isn't would indicate to me that the RFL have no idea when, or if, the re-registration will happen. This despite Hudge assuring them that the passport was due "in a few days" more than a month ago.
Either that or the RFL's patience is growing a little tattered after the whole shenanigans were leaked to the rest of SL and the subsequent unanimous indignation against Rovers and the RFL from the clubs. Plus the fact that they could quite well feel aggrieved at Hudge's assurances that the situation would be more ephemeral than eternal, almost four months after the president's tea-party.
Interesting that if you asked any Rovers fan to choose between Dobson and Mason the majority would howl "Dobson" without a second thought, but if you asked the average fan of another club who they'd rather name in their Exiles team I bet the answer would be Big Willie. So perhaps the RFL know what they're doing after all
