IMO six of the top eight are certainties, which are.
Wire Pies Shudds Leeds Saints Cas,
Two are no-hopers.
Crusaders Wakefield
Leaving ourselves fighting it out with,
Dull KR Quins Catalans Salford
for the top 8.
I realise Wakey had a fine win yesterday but their points deduction will be telling, Quins seem to be going backwards and the Catalans have had a remarkable last couple of results. I firmly believe we will make it due to the inconsisties (like ourselves) of the others but one thing is for sure that it is going to be a very competitive Super League this season.
Us and Dull will complete the 8 for me and as we have seen this season (Catalans winning at Wire and Wigan, Quins at Saints and Leeds, Cas losing only to ourselves, amongst others) that anything could happens at the business end.

I agree with everything you say ME in relation to the teams and the clusters they belong in. However, I haven't seen enough from Hull FC at any point this season to suggest they could make the 8. Rovers will complete the 8 with us.

Wouldn't disagree with that. Apart from Hudds, Cas haven't played any of the top teams yet. From end of April we play all the other top 6. We'll know then.

We're on course. Had more than our fair share of hard games so far. Nine wins needed to break even and that should do it. Cas collapse v possible, and Brian Mac has had disasters before now...

I honestly think Cas will struggle to make the eight - they've had the most favourable first set of fixtures that anybody could possibly wish for. Let's see how they look when they've played some of the top teams.
They've also got a thin squad. I doubt they could cope with an injury list like we've had

I wrote to the RFL to ask why Cas got the most favourable first set of fixtures that anybody could possibly wish for.
