Some are commenting on our defensive lapses , and then want us to get rid of one our best defenders.

It's all a matter of balance in the team selection.

Galea counts on quota but not on non fed, so would either have to be replaced by a uk player or a overseas player who's been in sl pre 2008.

Also amongst the regular/sometime first teamers are Cockayne , Taylor , Latus & Cook.

I wonder if hull can't get a half they'll go back in for Hogdson and move Obst to 7.

I wouldn't, from what I hear from friends who watch the under 20's.

Newton could be in the first team next year.

Rovers will keep Hogdson.

I would be very disapointted if we have Obst as our starting HB next year.

Just to add if Fisher does leave, Rovers should try and sign Andy Ellis back.

If Fisher leaves we need to get a hooker who can cover at HB in a similar vein to how Hudds use Robinson and Wigan use Luluai.

How does Galea count as federation trained?

We know from the Mason saga that Galea is definitely a quota player and he certainly did not play in this country until his late twenties.

Of our 5 quota players (Dobson , Webster, Galea, Clinton, Green) I would have thought the only one who may be classed as federation trained is Dobson because he is the only one who played in our federation prior to the age of 21. He was 19 years old when he played for Catalans and then Wigan.

So our 5 non-federation trained players would be the same as the quota except add Mason and delete Dobson. Vella, Fisher, Newton and Lovegrove are all exempt from both lists due to having signed before these rules were introduced.

I am assuming of course that Mason's Tongan passport arrives and Dobson is then re-registered.
