A friend of mine brought this up today, one to think about maybe.
The last time we had a bit of unrest/people calling for heads etc was a fair bit after the paul cooke signing and his disruptiveness, apparently a hudgell signing and not one morgan wanted, could this be a similar thing with mason, hudgell looking at the finances he'd potentially bring in etc and not a player morgan necessarily wants?? Not my opinion but made me think about it. maybe a bit of substance to it, i dunno, first game offloading like a good un, nothing like since?
probably just co incidence and 6 year it ago it would have been a pipe dream signing mason but it did make me think a bit about it all!

Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?

As I put on another thread,Morgan sounded dispirited on Humberside tonight, its not what he is usualy like when being interviewed. Not trying to wind you up,just giving my thoughts.

I don't think he could be anything other than dispirited after our start

My thoughts are that you should get your own material.

like i said it wasn't my thoughts but a good friend of mine and it did make me think a bit!
Maybe I know your good friend.
My thoughts are that Mason does not strike me as Morganesque signing, more of a headline, proof-that-we're-in-the-big-time big name, which smacks to me of a Cooke-style acquisition. The fact that it's then triggered a load of controversy and the distraction of the visa saga, then the Dobson de-registration won't have helped IMO. FWIW I think Mason will be a great player for Rovers. But he's certainly not a textbook Morgan signing in the style of Green, for example.

I'm not so sure I think if Mason becomes available as a SL coach you want him.
