Funny how all the theories come out whenever we hit a bad period of form.

Dobson is our main creative player so of course he is badly missed but it doesn't explain poor defence which to me has been our main failing.

Newton couldn't stop us losing at home to Catalans or at Castleford so the failings were there while he was still in the team.

We are playing now like we did during the middle of last season when we got a few heavy beatings funnily enough with Dobson and Newton in the team every time.

WE came through that period and I am quite certain we will come through this one too.

The problem is we were hoping there would be no 'bad periods' at all this season so to suffer one this early is very disappointing.

For the very top teams (and there are not many of them) one defeat is a bad period. Clearly we are still someway short of that and we hoped we wouldn't be, but the task is not easy.

But all the current theories will melt away when Rovers hit a good period which they definitely will do with or without Dobson & Newton.

i didn't go on friday night but from the home games and Cas away that i've seen we are unusually poor defensively which is worrying the f#*k out of me. Look at Saints on Saturday night, they were scrambling and fighting like mad to protect their line and we just don't seem to have that at the minute. We may miss Dobson's organisation in attack but he doesn't (for me anyway) have the creativity that Blake Green or Galea have. we need to get our defence in order quickly ready for Huddersfield or it will be worse than 30-0 this time! I'd rather see 8-8 than getting beat 32-30.

But we do know just how to tackle dont we ?
Warrington away,ok we lost but defense was great wasnt it ?
