do the Rovers players really think there that good they only have to turn up? they did the same thing against Catalans, scored 2 early tries, thought they were world beaters and went to sleep thinking it was easy. the worrying thing is when Rovers fall asleep, they are very heavy sleepers and NEVER wake back up. to get back from 10 down to lead by 8 and then still lose is criminal.
as for Willie Mason playing the full 80, i dont understand it either. for me he should be used in bursts for his impact, id sooner see him dummy running as much as he gets the ball too, if hes attracting 3/4 players to every tackle then throw the ball past him and create the overlap for a change.
the next 5 games could see us pick up no points, UNLESS Rovers raise it against the bigger clubs.
Im not sure about lack of effort, just poor defence, they made so many easy yards and they got quite a lot of offloads off too. In attack we just didnt look like scoring really no flair (no dobson)
If thats what they do think then they need to snap out of it or its going to be a long season! They didnt look up for it or play to the intensity youd hope to see thats for sure. When we got in the lead you thought that they were going to turn it around and make up for thr first half but just fell away.. worrying.
Despite our downfalls, i dont think Salford could have played much better. With their forward injuries, they really did play well, hardly any errors good defence and dangerous in attack, well played to them.
