The teams confidence is shot, last night apart from the ten minute spell in the second half when Morgans words will still have been ringing in their ears, we looked mis guided and leaderless. The half time talk clearly worked as we looked class immediately after the break, but you could see the doubt creep back into the team as soon as Salford started applying pressure again.
I mentioned leaderless and a leader is something we don't seem to have at the minute, I'd argue we're missing our biggest two in Vella and Newton and yes Dobson leads on attack but I'm talking about someone who rallies the troops after conceding a try or repeat set. We weren't talking last night.
As much as Scott Murrell plays is heart out for us and has a kicking game that can sometimes win you games, he is not a scrum half. We aren't going to replace Dobson but surly it's time to give Bell a shot?
Mason isn't match fit, that's not a problem as he's only going to get match fitness by playing, but it's worth mentioning. He along with the rest of the squad will play far better and turn it around, no doubt in my mind.
Lastly, any Rovers fan calling for Morgans head wants a slap, we're expecting as much as we are now because of where that mans got us to, if we played as badly as last night for the rest of the season he'd deserve at least that amount of time and patience from the fans to try and get it right again.

Don't agree there, didn't show any leadership qualitiesl lastnight, in fact, he didn't even seem to be talking to anyone at all, unlike last week - or was that just for the TV cameras?
We desperately missed Newton down the right hand side lastnight, chances he would have pounced on went begging.

Lets be honest you've been waiting to slag him off since we've signed him so that doesn't shock me

And once again you're talking complete bollox, did you not read any of my praise for him after last weeks game? As regards these comments, if you think they're bad you should have heard a bloke stood up behind us lastnight!
Willie Mason is the biggest signing our club has made for many years, this excites me as much as any other fan, to suggest otherwise, well, it speaks more about you than me Phil. BUT, and this is where we're probably different, I give credit where it is due, last week he deserved it, lastnight he didn't. It was suggested above that he should be leading us, IMO he shouldn't as he didn't even seem to be communicating with the rest of the team, unlike last week when he was on the touchline even when not on the field, getting the rest of the team going.
You levelled similar judgements on me because I questioned the signing of Paul Cooke, yet it wasn't long before your opinion changed.

Can't believe some Rovers fans calling for Morgan's head, he's taken you from NL1 nobodies to SL playoffs in a few years. You would have had to have been on some serious drugs to imagine Willie Mason turning out for Rovers 5 years ago.
you are going through a bad patch, and have your 3 key players (Dobson, Vella and Newton) missing...but you will still make the playoffs.
if you really don't want Morgan, please direct him in the direction of the KC Stadium!

Opinions and a-holes Phil, we've all got 'em!
Correct but I gave Cooke two seasons not two games, Mason played the full 80 last night so how you expected him to be geeing them up from the sideline is beyond me.
He doesn't crop up all over the pitch directing people about because his position is left side second row and he can't be expected to do everything himself.
Blake Green was captain last night but would you have known it?

Check my post again - I was talking about him being on the sidelines last week.
Not a good man to lead us then as CabMan suggested.
And just to correct you, I didn't even give Cooke 2 games, never wanted him.

Your joking Green never i am shocked, i think galea should have been captain. mason was to sh@gged to even realise were his team mates were, he was much more effective last week spelling him, its all very frustrating, what happened to clinton ripping it up.........

I don't think he should be leading us, I think he should be left to get on with his game. Is he playing 80 minutes because the lack of Vella and Newton dictates that? Who knows
But i think snide comments like "Did he only do it for the TV cameras" is harsh on him
