If people weren't so bothered about anonymity on here we could easily arrange to merge in a certain area to get a few started, it's always easier at away games, if we all print some out and take them to Salford enough people will know it for the week after to rock out the east stand. I've learned a few songs by listening to people outside away pubs, like the "if she don't cum I'll tickle her bum..", I always thought we were singing "Skirlaugh A" until I was tickled with Celery.

I posted this particular one on the chants thread, but I think it's more appropriate if Mason is replaced with Rovers in hindsight.

Chukabutt, your a jock, so you must have heard how well the Celtic version of this song is going, it's caught on rapidly - brilliant stuff!

Good song that, catchy.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Indeed, what tune do you suggest to go with it? The Rolling Stones' - Get off of my cloud, The Kinks - Lola, or even Beethoven's 5th Sympathy?

Happened at warrington - but think that was a 1st.

New songs take there time to get going as you need afew people to know it before it catches on, keep at it or if your not the vocal type who wants to start it.... ill be at the half way line at the very top step of the east stand- ill help. :D

Just like the "we all hate hull" chant that we sing when the song comes on - ive heard a fair few people change it and are starting to sing "we love east hull" and IMO that goes down better.
so the panel took the same view as your excellent assessment.
Did suggest it mate under the new song thread I started with Rovers instead of Willie Mason due to being at the Old Firm and witnessing how good it was. Was told no chance and even laughed at for suggesting people watching the Celtic fans singing it at parkhead. Well I was laughed at for suggesting Celtic get a crowd of 60,000 plus.

Ahh, remember backing you up on that!

VRR - I remember the derby when Webbo kicked a last gasp DG in monsoon weather, everyone was chanting "red army", I figured "tsunami" fitted better and our whole area joined in, good times.

Chukabut - I think people assumed you meant Celtic as in the Crusaders though.
Dum Dum - Very apt. and clever for the time, I somehow doubt it'd go down too well if you started it on Friday...
