I have been informed by a close friend and a Rovers die hard supporter, that the Willie Mason Dinner scheduled for tonight (11 March) has been cancelled due to a lack of sales. Surely this cannot be true? May be it was cancelled for another reason?
I have checked the official web site and other news outlets and cannot find it mentioned. As there is no official announcement it does appear to be a bit of an embarrassment. If Rovers cannot sell a dinner for the arrival of Willie, then is the off field side of the signing really as big a cash cow as was once thought?
I personally think he is a mega star from with in our sport and can only add to the excitement of the Derby matches and put RL up the news agenda.

Is this due to poor sales for the event or are they avoiding being in the firing line from fans wanting answers over this Dobbo story, Gutted though, I wanted my shirt signing.
