Hi all, after messaging a few mods, I've been advised to write this as a thread, but in a way that isn't acting as a promotion or advertisement, and I don't intend it to be, I'm just looking for a little bit of help:
I'm currently in the process of setting up my own business, which is to be a free, online, localised, Hull and East Riding 'lads mag'. The magazine, like all lads mags is to contain a 'sports' section in which we hope to have official access to Hull's 4 premier sporting clubs in; Hull City AFC, Hull FC, Hull KR and Hull Stingrays as well as fan-based contributions via a monthly column from 1 supporter, along with us having one off interviews with other professional athlete's from other sports and with occassional focuses on local amateur sides etc...
I was wondering if anyone on here or elsewhere, who is a Hull KR season pass holder, would possibly be interested in writing a monthly column on Hull KR for us?
I'd pretty much like to see a mini round-up of the past months events. The up's and downs, positives and negatives, a view on the upcoming month, how the team are performing etc... from a personal viewpoint, making it opinionated and something people will want to come back to read next month and possibly comment on, keeping it to a maximum of about 350-400 words for now... a bit like a mini-blog really. Or if anyone already has a blog, you could have your current blog as a concession in the mag with a link to it, which would obviously gain your blog more readers?
I'd be happy to add a link to these forums at the bottom of the club's page too, so as to not take anything away from the forum - if anything, the column could act as a new monthly thread starter on here, as a place for people to discuss it's content?
I hope to launch in May, so obviously the first month to cover will be April.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who may be interested.

I was about to suggest Mrs B as an ideal choice, given her broad knowledge of all things HKR, ability to string a sentence together, obvious grasp of data etc. I then saw the "350-400 words" bit and realised this would be a limiting factor, given her gender!

Are you going to put some tasty richards from off Preggy Road in?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

It will indeed have women in it - wouldn't be much of a lads mag otherwise, would it?
The 350-400 is only a rough number at the moment - we're in discussions with both clubs regarding official content too, so depends how much they intend to input, if they do, on how much room in the club's section there is for a fans view.
Personally, I think an actual fans view is usually much better reading than a newspaper's report.

Hi all! Back again... we've chosen and informed who is to be our resident writer each month for both clubs now.
Due to a mixture of a lot of interest in writing for us and the fact both clubs are a bit slow/not very good at getting things sorted, as an addition to our resident writer's column, we're looking for one-off features each month on individual subjects.
So were our resident writers will be writing a monthly round-up from their own perspective and personal view point, we're looking for people to send in subject related features for example, someone may have wrote a piece on 'Unregistering Dobson is wrong thing to do' - or something to that effect - that type of thing.
For anyone interested, please send your feature to readers@kissermag.com by April 25th - the best individual feature will be published each month.

In order for me to make an informed decision as to whether I shall be purchasing said magazine I will need to know who is penning the Rovers articles.

You don't have to purchase it, it is FREE.
It'll be available to read online as a digital magazine at http://www.kissermag.com from May. It will also be downloadable for iPhones, iPads, Tablet PC's, Android Phones and any other digital device which can read PDF's or .SWF's (i.e. can run Flash).

Cab Man and Pugwash Pal, the articles have to be of an unbias nature.
