Bell is a prospect but not ready yet IMO.

But I bet £1000 if we had won the challange cup or been more successful in the playoffs bell would have played last week. Morgan is too tight at the moment and will only loosen up if he wins something, which is playing against him. Forget targets and play people in their positions, what if Dobson breaks down in his first game back? Bell could have 10 games under his belt and problem solved.

Your all raving about Bell (yes he could be great) yet he hasnt set the reserves on fire in the 1st 2 games theyve had as he?
If he has a cracking game for the reserves then yes id say give him a chance and see how he goes; the fact is when theyve played 2 games and let in 100 points with a reply of 6 why should any of them deserve the chance in the 1st 17 on matchday?

Then give him the 1st team to play with! they wont let in 50 a game. Nonsical argument.

Hes got to prove his worth before he gets a shout in the 17 though! you dont bring someone in like that unless hes doing well which he isnt.
so the panel took the same view as your excellent assessment.
Murrell was Rovers best player today though amongst 17 of them.

Could have been the difference at 13 if bell had played 7.

Im not qualified to comment on his performances as i havn't personaly seen him play in the reserves, however, a couple of friends who have, say that he has been playing behind a well beaten pack which to be fair makes a great deal of difference, even Dobson has looked innefective at times in the past when our first team pack have underperformed.

I get it, I like murrell he's an honest 100% player but if you dont blood the young ones in proper positions and they see players playing out of position what message are we sending? look at my post about charnley.

Just got back a bit ago.

There were no significant fundamental problems with Rovers' defence or attack and with the fair share of possession in the first half, Rovers were comfortably the better side.

The second half was a continuation of the theme of our opening games and that is one of unforced errors resulting in defending our own line for too often to do anything well when the team do eventually get their hands on the ball.

So rather than being concerned about specific aspects of attack and defense, the bigger concern to me is why our games seem to be following this trend but I've no doubt that as soon as Rovers cut out there errors to a moderate level you'd expect from most sides, then this team will show what quality there is in it.

No half-back in the world will make any difference what so ever until the team start holding on to the ball.
