Just that he's got a knock but said he didn't really know anymore than that as it wasn't his remit.
I'm relieved this rumour hasn't turned out to be true because I feel Clinton is crucial to our success this season because apart for Vella and Clinton our front rowers are relatively young.
I would give Hodgson a breather and go with this:-
Briscoe Fox Hall Welham Colbon Green Murrell Vella Fisher Taylor Newton Galea Watts
Cockayne Netherton Cook Wheeldon.
I think in his spell last week Taylor showed that he can bring us the go forward that we have been lacking so far. If we can go to Cas and get a result without Webster, Dobson, Clinton, Lovegrove and Mason i would be very pleased but we have been saying how strong our squad is all off-season so lets prove it.

I think Hodgson showed the great progress he's made over the off-season with a great couple of games against FC & Wire before he had a shocker last week so I'd maybe put him on the bench considering we're not sure how fit Fisher is coming back from injury.
Agree about Taylor though, he seems to have some kind of natural abilty to generate go-forward without the usual brute-force/strength. I'd play him off the bench with Vella, Wheeldon & Netherton as our starting middle-men and bring on Watts, Taylor & Cockayne off the bench.

Just hope we have enough to stop chase and Orr as they are the dangermen

I wouldnt leave Hodgson out on the back of having a below average game, i actually think he played ok until fatigue caught up with him. I just dont want to see him over exposed at this stage of his career. Going forward i think he will be a great 80 minute hooker but we need to bring him on steadily.
