Haven fans should be the last to be criticising other clubs over financial matters after they went in to administration and left creditors unpaid. The sole reason for their administration was to clear their debts and now they can boast that they are debt free!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plenty of relevance once you see the state of them. You'll not be able to see the other end once it starts getting dark, and that's speaking from experience when we played them away on a Thursday night in the play-offs a few years ago.

No, it wasn't.

Power sub station conked out throwing the surrounding are into darkness as well as half of the Haven ground. Word has it that the power went out as Nigel Wood took his seats in the main stand. Coincidence?

Sorry - was typing that on the terrace at Whitehaven before we knew the reason for the floodlights going out

Given that half the floodlights stayed on, at the time it looked like it was just part of the ground that was affected

I reckoned they'd fired up a bank of microwaves to get his half time snack ready, and the resulting powersurge caused most of north west cumbria to black out

No problem, mate. I received a call from one of the backroom staff at the game to tell me about the lights going out and as he was on the phone to me the match commissioner told him the game was abandoned and that the reason for the power cut was due to a sub station fault. I couldn't put it on the forum at the time as I was away from my pc. Some of the lights stayed on as they were on a different circuit to those that went out. A bit like your lighting at home having a separate circuit for upstairs and downstairs.

Some of the lights stayed on, but mainly on the other side of the pitch, I think the changing rooms and main stand also lost power, in the bar after the match later on (where power had remained for a while) the lights went on and off once or twice. Probably while United United utilities were working elsewhere,
