Does anyone know whether Dobson carried this injury into the season and has been allowed to play on and now break down? Sounds like it in the HDM by Green's comments: "It's going to be difficult losing a player like Michael as it would be if you took Darren Lockyer out of the Brisbane team. The little bugger has been toughing it out playing injured for a while. I'm just glad he has gone in and got it sorted now." Before this turns into an FC slagoffathon, I recognise that FC have a rubbish record on this sort of thing, but would be surprised if Rovers had let their most important player risk getting crocked.

Rovers knew about chev walkers fracture in his leg, I think it's good that Dobbo has had the surgery now rather than trying to play on and him not having the same effect carrying a "niggle" which it was now obviously more than that, if he does things right in rehab and comes back when he is 100 per cent and not before we might then make 10th spot

Players carry knocks all the time, so I wouldn't be surprised or especially annoyed. With hindsight it should have been sorted in the off-season, but it's easy to be wise after the fact. Injuries are part of the game, unfortunately. We're lucky he held up through last season - at least we've got Green now.

Before I answer the question, may I respectfully ask what the Right Honourable Member of the Hull Chapter's (West, although not actually from there) hidden agenda is?
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

1) I was born in Beverley. I've gone west, because the Pet Shop Boys told me to. 2) My agenda is to bait General Zod, who says that Rovers have so few injuries because they have a far superior physio and masseur. In which case, how did an injury to your star player, the Emperor of Preston Road (which, in Top Trumps, pizzles all over Newton's King of Hull specifically on the criteria of high vis gumshield) happen? I suggest a director's checklist is in order to put in place a process to, er, keep the club "moving in the right direction". Not at all bored of that meaningless phrase this week. 3) None of this matters. Green is a member of the Magic Circle. I'm hearing he'll conjure up Mason's missing visa/passport combo, but not until he's agreed to let his BFF Newton run out last.
WE NEED SOMEONE AND WE NEED THEM NOW. LETS NOT PRETEND THAT ALL IS WELL. THE GOLF STAND AT CRAVEN PARK IS THE PERFECT VEIWING ANGLE FOR A TEAM ATTACKING AND DEFENDING. MISSING DOBBO WAS LIKE PLAYING RUGBY WITH ONE ARM TIGHED BEHIND OUR BACKS. OUR KICKING GAME WAS AWFUL. OKAY JUSTIN IS A MAGICIAN AT COACHING BUT EVEN HE MUST BE GOING TO BED WITH HOT SWEATS WONDERING HOW TO MOVE HIS CHESS PIECES TO COMBAT THE LOSS.
