I was no way on a par with anything witnessed of the FC fans.
Good idea by Rovers in hindsight to make the exit a bit tricky then. My point was that no occasion is lost on here to have a go at FC fans for leaving early, often when off topic. Here are some interesting comments on the unofficial board which are particularly at odds with your report BTW. Just saying, in line with the OP, that this is not helping create your fortress.
"I do not recall ever seeing so many leave early."
"So one bad performance and the Rovers die hard imitate the Hull shuffle. We cannot take the high ground with our neighbours now can we
"
"Leave when you want.."
"The support today was garbage. Shocking atmosphere. Like being at the KC."
"I set off early as I knew I had to swim back to preston road to get to the car."
"I left early. Very unusual for me to do that. Just utterly demoralised with that performance."
"If people want to leave early, so what?"
"Atmosphere was not good before the game"
"The eighteenth man was not in the East Stand Sunday"
"I was surprised to see quite a few leave when the game was certainly still in the balance."
"We had some comments slurred at us as we headed out."
"I've left some games early on a number of occasions and that's MY choice...I've PAID to get into the ground after-all."
"I've earned theright to leave when I want thanks very much."
"I agree leave when you want but don't then start taking the michael out of Hull fans when they do!!! Does look very fickle though leaving when we're losing"
"If people choose to leave early it's their choice"
