He's not a council member, he's the 'sports services manager' whatever that is.
Councillors may be more sympathetic as they're answerable to the people who elect them. This council 'officer' is unelected.

Having had experiences of dealing with Mr Byrnes in the past I can say that this is typical. When it comes to money to be made he makes the wrong decision that gets peoples backs up. He's useless!! A complete and utter numpty!

Perhaps who ever made the decision, if it was Mr Byrnes, then him, could do us the courtesy of telling us exactly why this conclusion was reached. At the moment it does seem just hear say.

So he will be in this job for years then! A good fit for Calderdale Council! We should all write to his boss Robin Tuddenham and let him know our feelings.

Looking at Bubba's comments make me laugh..... suggesting we should be grateful for the council's commitment, you mean that large costly organisation we all pay for!!!
