Would that be every citizen of the city voting on every decision or should we elect representatives to make the decisions on our behalf?

How many people slating the current load of bandits at City Hall either voted them in, or did not bother to vote?
The ballot box is how democracy works. The Egyptians overthrew an effective dictatorship, not a freely-elected administration.
If you did not vote, you can hardly complain at what the City Hall banditry are up to - and if you do complain, we will have to shoot you. If you DID vote, and for anyone in the current ruling coalition at City Hall, then its all your fault and you need to go do the decent thing and shoot yourself. If you voted for the previous lot, why didn't you shoot yourself ages ago?

I stood against the leader of the council in Little Horton 2 or 3 times. He got many thousands more than my couple of hundred. This democracy thing is not all it's made out to be. I vote for a benign dictatorship, such as the governemnt were praising Bahrain for having when they bought our arms of repression.

I might be wrong, but I think they even beat me one year.

We should be inspired by the scenes in Egypt, etc. Get down to City Hall and overthrow the useless t**ts.

Well, I have voted for them every time I could. In their manifesto, they would have re-named Five Lane Ends "Six Lane Ends", which it is, but as they never got in, this travesty continues.
