Anyone know why this got abandoned?

The following is what I was told by a West Bank Swans player...

Swan winning 12-6, referee is awarding penalty after penalty to Eccles. Eccles score to make it 12-10, referee continues to award penalties. Swan coach enters pitch and has an arguement with referee who shows him red card, Swan coach removes his players from the field on 65 minutres with the score at 12-10. Referee reports to NWC that game ended on 55 mins with Eccles leading 16-12.

Surely that can't be upheld then?

You have to play 60 mins for the result to stand iirc.

60mins at Pro level mate

I'm sure its 65mins at NWC not sure why
I just remember a Bank Quay game being replayed against Blackbrook that was abandened after playing 63 mins

Bad times!

west bank was winning 12-10 in the 2nd half. Eccles won the first half think is was 10-6. west bank pulled a try to put them in the lead 12-10. The ref was shocking he even had tracky bottoms on lol. Think it was a bad pass to the west bank full back which the fullback clearly knocked the ball back about 3 yards. The ref said he knocked it on, gods knows how he saw that, West bank players argued with the ref who then give eccles a penatly. Eccles signed to for for the 2 points in front of the sticks. By then west bank coach had come on the pitch screaming at the ref. Not sure what was said but seen the ref tell the coach to leave. By then the west bank player had set up ready for the penalty and wait for eccles to take the kick. West bank coach then order his team off the pitch. What i hear from west bank was none of wanted to leave as they was winning but finally they listened to there coach and left the pitch . Not sure when time was on the refs watch.
Only ppl will prob tell a different story to this, just how i saw what happened. Ref was bad for both teams. Was a good hard game should of carried on and see how it would of ended
