You can't have a decent conversation with half of us because quite simply put we can't have one in return. Something that could be debated quite healthy on here get's turned into a joke by all the bickering and put downs we receive.

I have had lots of decent conversations and debates with Kr posters on both boards, GraftonRed, Barham, Roverswall to name a few. Go and read our board today and then let us discuss jokes and put downs, even one of your own posters Roverswall attempted to get a debate going and asked for it to not turn into a bun fight surprise, surprise it did who by a kr poster! A few of your decent posters (personal friends) no longer post on here as regularly as they did because it has started to resemble the Hdm site. I am no fan of GML but I will say although he was not shy at banning the fc posters he kept this board in a lot better shape than it presently is, apart from the odd fc poster who comes on here for a bun fight you have very few visitors from other clubs posting, do you wonder why

If the shoe was on the other foot, and there had been comments about O'Meley's performances being excellent at another club other than FC then fair point, but seeing as how he's been putting them in extending from the back end of last year then I see these opinions by Rovers' fans as not one wide eyed and who can form an opinion regardless of the fact he plays for FC.

FWIW, top player, you can't knock someone like O'Meley and Fitzgibbon because of what they have achieved previously, not to mention Fitzgibbon's kind words pre-derby game about Rovers :-D

Look, I know you're struggling with the point here, let me help you. O'Meley (and Fitz as you brought him into it) incited some pretty nasty comments on here when they were announced as FC players. Here is a small sample:

General Zod. wrote:At the end of the day O'Meley is a typical Hull FC signing - typical dross spouted by Agar and Rule - and will result in another typical season out of the play-offs.
At the end of the day, Fitzgibbon is a player 6 years past his best with O'Meley also with his best days behind him.
The article on O'Meley doesn't make good reading with the comments that his own coaching staff don't rate him as fairly damning.
The harsh reality for you is that your club has signed 2 rejects from the wooden spooners. Both players coming from such a losing culture will fit right in... :SUBMISSION:
O'Meley? Err no thanks, well past his best validated by him playing for the bottom NRL club last year.

Scott_HKR wrote:Fitzgibbon and O'Meley have both seen their best days. Joking aside, you surely have to see that?

Bertie, about O'Meley wrote:Maybe the secret to buying world class props is choosing the fat ones.

MrPhilb wrote:Fitzgibbon wouldn't get in our side simple as, he is pension seeking now. They (Fitz and O'Meley) just don't cut it anymore but it's ok they are nice lads in the dressing room, both players at the club who has been an embarrasment to the NRL. I'd pick Mills in front of O'Meley.

Yet suddenly O'Meley's the dog's bollox when the link appears at the start of this thread via Mason for Rovers next season- pure coincidence, of course.

O'Meley isn't going to be a Rovers player, let's face it.

In your endless quoting machine, have you got any dates in which these Rovers fans posted their opinion on O'Meley? Because an opinion about O'Meley at the start of last season would most certainly have changed compared with his performances towards the back end of the last year and the beginning of this. Like Easty said, opinions change over time, O'Meley might have looked deadwood in the Rooster's side but in SL he looks back to his best, shows the difference in quality of the two comps :-)!

If you believe this is a rumour thread your deluded. Maybe the reason is quite simply like mine. I've watched him the last two games and he's being impressive. Why does their have to be an ulterior motive for everything.

Opinions change over time, because:
1) Original opinion was based purely on nastiness because he signed for FC, at which point the value of his multiple Oz and SOO caps plummeted to zero.
2) 2 weeks ago in comparing the squads, the likes of Easty were saying O'Meley would bring nothing to Rovers squad and he wouldn't get in the 17.
3) Someone starts a thread on this board bringing in the Mason link with O'Meley and suddenly he's the best thing since sliced bread.

Yes, I'm sure the fact that someone's fabricated a connection to him signing up with his buddy Mason is entirely coincidental with a change in the collective opinion of "O'Belly". Yes siree.

I'll happily heap praise on all your players.
As long as they keep their side of the bargain and carry on under-performing.
