I was about to back you up then DG, Dickie Mint is talking out of his backside.

Especially when he says all wakey fans are decent. That thread you linked to shows otherwise.

Danril wrote:Every agent who has a player at Wakey right now will be ringing round trying to get their player a deal elsewhere. They are serving the interests of their player and also getting themselves a slice of any action. Are they vultures too? If a club is contacted by an agent offering a player and the club subsequently goes on to make an offer for that player, which is accepted, is that so wrong?

No it is not wrong, we have done the very same thing ourselves slightly different circumstances but Danny Brough is a prime example, we did not care about Cas's feelings when we took him from Cas and at least we got something for him when he left us, its one thing loaning players out, that is to the mutual benefit of both clubs and the player, but other than that its a cut throat business and most Wakey fans will recognise that perhaps, if Hudds had not got him somebody else would no doubt.

Danril wrote:dickie, you're talking about a fictional world there. Did the Huddersfield fans deserve grief about the merger? No, and neither did the club. If anyone deserved it then it was the RFL but that didn't matter 12 years ago and still doesn't matter now apparently. Have you actually read your board? Have you read some of the utter tripe being aimed at us? Have you missed the last 12 years where plenty of your lot have sat in the ivory tower spouting tosh in our direction?

Without trying to evaluate something I'm not qualified to do, the only explanation I can give is that when somebody hurls an insult you tend to hurl one back at them and from then on it just deteriates from there and gets more childlike as it goes on, neither set of fans deserve what they get really or most of them don't, but its human nature I suppose to retaliate not that it makes it allright. My pet hate about your club is that they always end up with our better players which is very frustrating indeed and perhaps thats what lies with some of the abuse your fans tend to recieve from some Wakey fans.

Danril wrote:I wish decent Wakey fans like WildThing, Slugger McBatt et al well, I honestly do but I woudl be a liar if I said I was shedding a tear for your club at the moment. With fans like the ones I mentioned Trinity will go on, survive and may one day flourish again and if/when that happens I will be glad for those fans. I've been through the mill with my lot, having watched them since the mid 80's, so I know what it's like to follow a side through bad times. Some of your fans though, they don't deserve a side to watch. They're an embarrassment to the sport they harp on about being so great and one big family and all that tosh.

There is the odd one or two of your fans that get up my nose as well, but that is only an opinion as I'm sure that away from on here they are decent people as are one or two Wakey fans that come on here are that I know. Our problem is that we and adversity seem to go hand in hand and perhaps we have a few fans that are feeling sorry for themselves as it always seems to happen to us but thats life as a Wakey fan, we will still carry on regardless while ever we can and I doubt the insults will cease either such is human nature.

dickie mint wrote:His post was both pointless and unwarranted a bit like your's really, If you felt insulted and annoyed by it, then why not tell him so instead of rolling out your usual well worn criticism about our club, it was a personal insult by a fan against your club not by anybody from Wakefield so why the need to spew your hate filled bile which has got you into no end of trouble on rlfans and not to mention on this particular board as well in the past, posters from Wakey what come on here insulting your fans and the club deserve all they get, but I can tell you this much nobody from WTW has ever uttered a wrong word against your club or its fans, so why not save the obvious bitterness you nurture for the people what deserve it and not somebody what cannot answer your smart mouth comments back, as Iv'e said already its about Fergy not Wakefields off the field problems, but then its not your style is it.

Response to the sales from the Administrators:

Quote:O’Hara said the sale of players could be avoided if a take-over was completed – and he admitted the decision of a previous prospective owner – Steve Parkin – not to go ahead had contributed to the departures of Obst and Ferguson.

He stressed: “I have got to get the best possible price.

“I have no wish to decimate the club.

“If Mr Glover had conducted himself professionally, or a deal had been done with Mr Parkin when we came out of court on Friday, he could kept who he wanted and done what he wanted.

“He (Glover) has not told me who he wants to keep and who he wants to go. There’s over 30 people on the pay role, non-playing people – at enormous cost.

“And at the moment I still don’t know what the players are entitled to, in terms of bonuses.

“Nobody has come up with any money at all.

“At the moment costs are clocking up and wages have got to be found from somewhere, let alone finding any money for creditors.

“If players go that reduces the wage bill, which has been the basis of the club’s demise.

“If I don’t make these cuts, whoever buys it is going to have to have deep pockets.”

It's the response your dreary post deserves. If you do not like facts about your appalling run club and your ill informed fellow supporters I am afraid you will have to lump it. :D

All those wakey fans who tugged their forelocks for ted and castigated the Giants are finding the current situation a tad difficult..tough. All they can do is make up rubbish about our club and look after the ever increasing chip on their shoulders.

If Parkin takes over will you sign Lockyer this year?

Is your 'new owner' turning up for meetings? http://www.yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk/s ... _1_3083741
