Sorry, cockle, but that's very poor by you. You seem to have forgotten that you picked out Dowes tackle busting specifically as an area of ridicule, yet the stats show a) he broke more tackles than Clinton and most of Rovers props last season, and b) he broke the same number of tackles yesterday as Clinton and Watts put together. Besides, he's obviously past his peak now, so it's an irrelevance. 2010 Dowes Tackle busting > Joel "highest paid forward at Brisbane" Clinton.

Oh lets not split hairs Mrs B Is 4 carries exceptable for a replacement front rower. Having the ball so few times surely reduces his tackle busting capabilities

Split hairs? Did you or did you not start all this ridiculing "Tackle-buster Dowes"?

Past his peak is that an excuse? Doesn't really wash when old Mickey V was top of the shop for meters gained from either sides.
Also you comparing Dowes and Clinton is laughable. Clinton played 2 less games then Dowes and with 35 less carries made over 200 extra meters. Still you'd sooner compare Dowes making 2 more busts from an extra 2 more games, Your comparison is a joke.

1) GML started this by mocking Dowes' tackle-busting in the offseason 2) Dowes made more tackle busts per game than Clinton, Wheeldon, Watts and Netherton last season.
These are the facts, cockle. Inconvenient, I know. I suspect that he's peaked now, but the facts for 2010 are indisputable.

Two more tackle busts with over 200 less meters made for an extra 2 appearances. Clinton for me all day long. Yup the facts for 2010 ARE indisputable

Of course, and I'd have Clinton over Dowes too. You're missing the point. GML picked out his tackle-busting as a specific weakness of Dowes to mock after the 2010 season. The facts for 2010 show he was stronger in this respect than most of the props Rovers had on offer. Simple.
WHEN WILLIE MASON ARRIVES THEN YOU WILL SEE SOME TACKLE BUSTING. THE HUMAN BOWLING BALL WILL BE FROTHING AT THE MOUTH MOVE ASIDE DOWES WILLIE IS COMING THROUGH
