Do any of you expect Will Liam Watts to start some games next season?
Also what about Rhys Lovegrove is he usually in the starting 13 or does impact off the bench?
With Clinton, Vella, Lovegrove and Wheeldon being the obvious choices for our rotation props you would then have to say Watts will come in but we wont need to burn him out too quickly. He played more than he expected last season and was accomodated as a 3rd prop playing in the loose forward position, with Willie Mason and Scott Murrell needing to be in the side Watts will be fighting with the 4 props named above for a place in the 17.
As for Lovegrove, given the 8 shirt once more which indicates he is in Morgans starting 13 plans however as his season is starting on the injury bench it is likely Watts could cement his place in the side leaving Lovegrove working extremely hard to get back in and possibly waiting for an injury to get back in the side. What he offers however isn't so much as impact but the work rate he puts in to his spells on the pitch. His meters per match are up there with some top senior players at other clubs, his tackle count is the highest at Rovers (as are his missed tackles admittedly) while he doesnt make a whole host of errors. Make of that what you will, he is certainly one for the future as with Watts, both are young and have the ability to make an impression this season and beyond.
