This debate has run and run but think its worth another go around.
Rugby League is the best sport in the world and it has the fittest and most respected players. The game is for entertainment first and then the sentiment comes later.
I for one would sooner watch the likes of Clint Newton, Michael Dobson, Willie Mason over some of the average players from this country.
If you stripped out the overseas players and tried to make 14 Super league teams you would have a comp that was dull and slow for years to come until we develop enough players.
We owe a lot to the Aussies, I think we should leave the current number in each team as it is now.
SL has come on leaps and bounds because people like Mark Broadhurst came over a few years ago and made a difference.
The Aussies have got it 100% right and we need to replicate it over here so we can beat them at their National sport.
Peter Gentle was rejected by Hull KR as their new head coach due to his lack of ambition.

overseas players are great to have and going forward as a competition we still need to bring in good overseas players to maintain good standards and adds a little excitment. but we need clubs to reduce overseas players but still have the better aussie players that bring alot to the club and competition but keep introducing young players

What/How do we class as a national sport?
IMO RL isnt the Aussies national sport - its not played in all the areas of the country (to the highest level that im aware of), Cricket is up there isnt it, as well as Oz rules? PNG is one country that we can truly say its there National Sport, dont know of any others?...
Obviously ours is Fairy ball.

You'll be pretty gutted when Vella, Fisher, Newton, Galea and Lovegrove leave then.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.
