i agree with you there but disagree with the earlier post about no winners in this story. Leaving the personal stuff aside purely from a rugby point of view we are the winners of this saga because although he is a pretty poor defensive fullback he was the 1 player in the hull team who could do something off the cuff and conjure a try out of nothing with him gone hull look a lot easier to defend against, I guess we shall see come sunday.

I don't think it makes much odds for MM either - he was very hit and miss and none of my FC supporting friends held him in very high regard as a fullback. It means they need players more desperately than ever, but that isn't our concern, as they can just about get 17 proven SL players out - for now.

Rovers are favourites to win at cardiff well according to RH, i totally agree with FC getting rid of Tansey and i am sure a lot of the fans must now be wondering what is going to happen if the get a few injuries, as it says in the Rugby League Express from Longey's mouth FC are light years away from anything that is happening at Wigan, Saints and Warrington, which again must be worrying seen as they are in the top four for season pass sales etc. Tansey is a complete idiot for his ill discipline he was warned and carried on taking the P!ss out of hull.....

Will Hull be able to field a side at this rate :)

If that's tongue in cheek and you're trying to make me look a bit of a pillock then fair play.

However, if you're serious then then your post says more about you than me. I'm clearly in support of the board of the Hull club sacking Tansey, if I implied that they have mislead the fans then may I take this opportunity to out line that that was in no way what I meant. I'm prepared to admit that perhaps I worded my post poorly, although I think that the much more likely scenario being played out here is that you have deliberately misinterpreted it for no other reason than devilment.

I'll take that as an term of endearment. The statement that many Hull fans have paid good money for a pass and should now be hacked off is, IMO, not really open to "misinterpretation", although you reined in from the Hudgellism of "selling us short", I suppose. I'm a bit crushed by our ever dwindling squad and feckwittery around recruitment. I had been looking forward to this weekend, but now the world's biggest pile of ironing is holding more appeal than 4pm on Sunday. I wish you the world's most hideous hangover.

Are you really this dim?

I have not at all stated that Hull fans should be hacked off or feel short changed because Berrigan and Tansey are no longer in your squad.

As you appear to have become of such little intellect I'll explain (once again as you appear to be so hard of understanding) in bullet points. Please note, just for you, I would attach this as a spread sheet if RLFans had this facility.

a) A Hull fan buy their pass in (for arguments sake) October.

b) Berrigan, an enjoyable player to watch leaves for completely reasonable reasons, and the correct reasons for both Hull and Berrigan.

c) Tansey is sacked, quite correctly by the board of the Hull club.

d) If I were a Hull fan I would be disappointed that these two entertaining players had left the Hull club, but fully understanding of the reasons. I do not feel short changed by the board, I just feel it is a shame that because of reasons beyond the control of the Hull clubs board I will not have the privilege of watching these two players in black and white this year.

To clarify further. I am first and foremost a supporter of Hull Kingston Rover Rugby League Football Club. However, over the last few seasons, although I have been disappointed to see some teams rip us a new one, I have felt an enormous amount of respect and felt lucky to have seen some of the Worlds top players do this to us. I want to see the best players that the game has to offer and although Tansey does not fall into this category, I think it is a shame for the game as a whole that he will not be representing your club this season.

Pick that apart, I cannot believe that anyone with a modicum of intelligence could take my views on this whole sorry matter in any other way than they were originally intended.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I agree sandy that it's better for us a team that Tansey will not play for the Hull club this weekend, my point was, that club loyalties aside (as you allude to) it's just really sad to see a talented young man potentially p1ss his carer quite literally up the wall.

I know that the majority of my posts are utterly ridiculous meanderings, but this one time, there's a little bit of realism in them!
