I'm not reading too much into these Friendlies, Feb 13th will be a different game, would be disappointed if we lost but reckon it'll be close.

Salford defended pretty much like every Shaun McRae side, very poorly. Their edge defence was aweful and players were pulled out of position with ease. Frankly i don't see them as any kind of threat to the top 8 on that showing despite their promising recruitment.

It was only a friendly but with Bomber at the helm i don't see their defensive structure getting any better, they'll score plenty of tries but they'll concede a hell of a lot too.

Not sure what all the fuss was about Salford apart from Patten I wasn't that impressed with any of their signings, they should improve on last season but like you said can't see them making the 8 or coming close.

I would guess that in a way Morgan would be a bit dispointted that Salford didn't test Rovers more.

TBF Rovers dominated field position, posession, had a 19-8 penalty count in their favour and Salford were gash. Oh and be thankful that you didn't sign Ratchford

I'd have preferred more of a challenge for Rovers in our last friendly, FC's against Cas will have been alot more beneficial to them. Salford where absolutely shocking and tbh I was a tad disappointed they scored at all, I think we look good and Green has slotted in nicely, injuries aside him and Dobbo could prove a deadly partnership but FC in Cardiff will be a completely different kettle of fish.

We had a good run out against giants i would say thats as good as any to play.

I think that's a key point actually. There were some promising things against Cas but overall we were a little sloppy. However it was a pretty intense game and not far off the pace of a full Superleague game. I havn't seen anything of the Salford game tbh but it seems like they gave you it on a plate due to their indiscipline. I suppose we will find out a week on Sunday how much of an effect it has.

If, as you've claimed on other threads, you hate Hull FC so much, why did you bother to watch their match?

Also, there are much fuller highlights (9 mins as opposed to 5) on Hullfc.com

With the derbies, it's hard to predict. As we've seen in the past, form and the stats on paper can go out of the window due to the passion and atmosphere of the event. At the moment, my head's saying one thing and my heart another.

On the subject of highlights, I saw the Rovers/Salford ones on HDM site and you scored a couple of decent tries on there.
