Signed him and he is in great form (8 goals in 7 games) but he can only play 2/3 games before getting injured for weeks. Now he's just been injured for 4-5 months. I play him in the reserves for a couple of games before bringing him into the first team, but he gets injured there too. Any (sensible) suggestions are welcomed!
Nobody could accuse SI Games of making the game unrealistic on that score that's for sure. It's Michael Owen, it goes with the territory.

I understand that it was a huge risk signing him (even though he was free), but I presume there are no ways of stopping him getting constantly injured then ?

I would doubt it, but to be honest I'm still on FM10 so not sure if they've built anything into the training on FM11 that would help.

Other than using a save game editor no, it's not possble. No one can do it in real life either. If they could he'd still be playing for England.
I'm on my first game since Santa brought it down my chimney. Started with AFC Wimbledon again and go back to back promotions into league 1. In the last game I took them to the prem. About 10 games into season 3 Norwich offered me the job - they were bottom of league 1. I took the challenge on and ended up going unbeaten until March, had a spell of 10 games without conceding and won the league with 93 points. Simeon Jackson scored 33 league goals in 35 games including 5 as a sub against Wycombe. There were some players absolutely stealing a living at Norwich - Sol Campbell was dreadful, Chris Martin, Adam Lockwood and about 4 others got the boot at the end of the season saving me around £20k per week.
Got Tony Coton on board as my assistant for the championship and am looking to consolidate. Picked up the usual premier league cast offs on free transfers. We'll see how we get on.

I remember getting an email about this when I bought FM as a digital download (Not via Steam). It mentioned that the game was fully patched automatically and couldn't be updated manually. I'm sure it mentioned contacting Steam customer service if you had any issues.

I sorted it. Basically, I was staying with my girlfriend at her student accommodation, with F all to do, I downloaded Steam, but it wouldn't run, just kept getting stuck on 0% when updating. Brought it home, tried again and it worked fine on my internet at home, which is odd.
