I have heard a few times that Morgs instructs this in the friendlies, silly penalties on own line and uncharacteristic errors to invite pressure, I can certainly see the advantage of doing this in a friendly. Reading the report on Hull's friendly, It doesn't seem like Donny had much ball in hand, IMO our close game with Fax was more beneficial.
I'm not saying that this is true and that Morgs does instruct this, someone may know?
