The term you used was "struggling big time" - hence I put it in quotation marks everytime I have repeated it. What would you define that as?

Leeds team with 5 of it best missing. What 5 doesn't matter all squads are balanced different. But i will humour you. no senior, no hall, no McGuire, no peacock, no Webb. 1 Smith 2 Watkins 3 delaney 4 ablett 5 bjb 6 sini 7 burrow 8 kylie 9 buderus 10 cross 11 Jjb 12 huaraki 13 Clarkson Ali Kirke Bailey Burgess EDIT: That team would take some beating, just the 10 academy players. All but 1 of the Backs academy too apart from delaney.

Rubbish
And it's you lot claiming Davey or whoever he is would be in the first 17?

Let's face it Wigan, Wire, Leeds and Saints all have quality squads filled with class players, good solid pros and exciting youngsters. If more teams in SL could follow the lead of these three leading clubs both on and off the field the game would be in much healthier position.

Grimmy wrote: Assuming Gleeson, Sam and Fielden return before the season starts (which I think they're meant too to be fair) I suppose this is the problem with the notoriously hard pre-season we have. It might have been great when we had a new coach coming in with fresh ideas and everyone's eager for a new start but year on year it could prove to be draining. The pre season isn't long at all when you get to the final, have lots of players in the four nations, then need to hit the ground running for the WCC, time will tell.
Its not just the hard pre-season though - the intensity of the training doesnt decrease at Wigan!
During 2010 Madge talked about this at the training camps set up for amateur coaches that were held at Orrell. He said that the players thought that after the pre-season training would slacken off but if anything it actually got more intense as the season went on.
Madge also put some of our defeats last season down to the fact that players were too tired from training and that lessons had been learned in this area.
