Its drilled into you as a Wigan fan from day one that beating saints is everything. Ask madge and any other coach/player what fans tell them. Beat saints and we're happy.

I personally would have swapped EVERY win over leeds under Nobby for one win over saints. NOTHING is bigger

It means that on Monday morning I can walk into the school in Cirencester where I teach without being accosted by teenagers in every corridor, with their big grinning faces, chanting "St Helens" and attempting to mention the score in every conversation they have with me. You know you've made your mark in a school when the entire student population become St Helens supporters.

The piano has been drinking.
Not me.
