I'm pretty sure on of John Assor or Pierre Assor never actually played for us in the top flight but not sure which...or if true

Wayne Parker definately played. He once kicked 5 drop goals (I think still a club record) against Leigh. That tatic eventually won us the game. I think this game was the beginning of the end of the Singe Allstars, and all the pundits had expected the Dragons to get a heavy score against them.

Pierre Assor playered for the a team and Pierre Grobelar played one or two games for the first team before tearing his groin and going back to South Africa

Was a great day, I think Wigan actually scored just before half time, but it was nearly a full half without them scoring
