On the whole Rooney rant etc etc etc watch the Gerrard red card from the other week. Webb has Torres, Agger, Reina (remember this was on the half way line), Lucas and Auralio all crowding him having a full blown whinge, so when do they receive there FA charges?

Oh and as Gerrard is leaving the pitch he says something aimed at the nited fans that is ether "**** off you manc ****'s" or "**** off you Munich ****'s" being that horrible crease head it'd probably be the latter

Dita's Slot Meter wrote:Comparing Bale and Pienaar is a bit silly.....Bale was a teenage protege, similar to Rooney, who failed to settle immediately at Spurs. Only now is he realising the huge potential his teenage reputation promised. He can only get better in the next 4-5 years.

Pienaar though, is a 28 year old midfielder who has probably already reached his peak....He certainly doesn't seem to have any more potential for improvement....He isn't getting any quicker and I don't see him being any better than what Spurs already have.

As I said before, I think its another classic case of Redknapp being unable to restrain himself during a transfer window....He signs players for the sake of it, agents must adore him...

 They certainly do.

I wasn't trying to compare them as such just they situations they are in, I agree with what you're saying but Bale wasn't a second thought 18 months or so ago and now he's flying. Even if he's reached his peak he can still do an excellent job for Spurs, he's a hard working midfielder and his skill and quick feet would be welcome in any team but like you I'm not too fussed he's gone as he's easily replaced. Charlie Adam would be awesome replacement but doubt we can afford him.

D.D. wrote:Moyes made Hughes look daft. He hasn't made Mancini look daft. Sure you have beaten us the last three times you played us but the last one was a complete travesty.

Lescott's form is nothing to do with coaching. It's his complete lack of concentration and rash decision making that is his problem. He is a disaster waiting to happen every time he takes the field.

To be honest, you are about the first Everton fan I have come across who has actually said that they thought he was a great player for you. The vast majority I have met did not think he was fit to lace Jagielka's boots.

He was brilliant for us and I haven't found an Evertonian who wouldn't say the same thing, I've seen his demise at City also and you'll obviously see more of him than me these days but for us he was superb, his defending was brilliant, good tackling, crisp passing and could fit either left back or centre half plus he scored goals too. He very rarely made mistakes and he never had rash decsions in him. As good as Jags as been for us he was the one more likely to make a mistake. He could be a confidence player, he doesn't play all too often for you does he? whereas for us he started every week when available.

Robbie Rotten wrote:'Having a pop'? You see, you intentionally 'minimize' Rooney's offence to having a pop. It was a full-scaled verbal assault. Babel was guilty of foolishness or re-tweeting a picture suggested many things, one of those being cheating, but I think it was simple 'banter', that's not LFC bias, it was stupid for a professional to involve himself in such childish banter, but I believe that's all it was. Whereas with Rooney, I feel it exceeded the proverbial line, there's challenging a ref, there's getting your point across, then there's that. Foul, abusive and needlessly aggressive, but nothing has been said of it, that's what I don't get. I'm not saying clamp down on everything (although we should eventually follow RL), but there are some cases, like Ashley Cole's a few years back, like Mascherano's and like Rooney's on the weekend, that are simply 'too far', to the point where the FA have to step in and act on the player's behaviour.

Getting into a widge measuring contest about what was worse bores me, but the fact one has been acted on, whilst the other has been completely ignored, speaks volumes about the FA and how farcical their dictatorship of English football is.

Carragher, Torres, Reina, Terry, and co do it most weeks.Funny how you've never mentioned anything before. It isn't a widge measuring contest. One was worthy of action, one wasn't. The FA tend to agree. It's that simple. The fact that not many of the media have picked up on it suggests it ain't that big a deal also. Unless you're a bitter, jealous LFC fan riddled with ABU syndrome of course. Let's agree to disagree and move on.

The fact that a piss-poor player like him has made enough money out of the game to be able to forget about a Porsche he owns just about says it all about the way football has gone.
