Shocking that. Especially when Pryce gets so much jip for being injured and no-one bats an eyelid about Eamon.

Never realised it was that high. That's an astonishing statistic.

Yeah he played only 6 games in 2009 (season ended March 13th) and 12 last year (season ended May 16th). So 18 from a total of 68 matches = just over 25% of games played.

For me he's probably a player we should look to shift out on a season long loan.

That's assuming he was always a first choice prop. It's highly likely he wouldn't have been picked for quite a few of those games.

Well he only played twice in the reserves in all that time so I think we can safely say he was injured.

Yes but as a young lad would he always have been a first choice prop for the first team or would he have been rotated quite a bit?
If this was the case he wouldn't have played in all those games anyway.

I think your probably right.

O'Carroll and Paul Prescott seemed to have been battling for a place in the first team for a few years now and both have had their fair share of injuries along the way.

However out of the two and with the amount of injuries O'Carroll has had it was Prescott that really took his chance last season - he was very good at times and Prescotts performance in the semi-final against Leeds was outstanding - he flattened a couple of Leeds defenders that day!

I do hope O'Carroll does get an opportunity in 2011 when he is fully fit but like you say he may benefit from a loan spell playing first team rugby on a regular basis.
