Sorry, missed what happened?
If he's training with the backs maybe Madge has a plan for him we don't know about? Centre seems his likeliest positional change given he's covered there previously.
He will need to up his game at centre if he is to play there at some time in the future. OK with ball in hand, suspect when the opposition have it in their hands. Hope the training pays off for Joel and the club. I thought they may have given the slot straight to Charnley. Big, skillful, powerful and pacey is Charnley. We have a lot of quality players at the club and in a very fortunate positon.

I agree Ted. He may get "done" by opposition centres / halfbacks who have genuine pace/acceleration. I was a bit disappointed with Stef Marsh yesterday, we certainly need Marsh and Charnley to come through this season as I expect Carmont will retire at the end of it.

Do you not think Pryce is a decent bet to take the 4 shirt in 2012 if he stays fit this season?

I'd have thought Goulding first for the 4 shirt then Pryce after him. This could well be Carmont's last at Wigan and we need a quality replacement. Yesterday though both Joel and Josh played in the 3 position at some point in the game so perhaps Gleeson isn't as near to fitness as we think. Marsh may have played there as well although that was a change I missed if it did happen.

I'm surprised, and a bit disappointed, with how Marsh has performed in the first team, so far. One of those who looks fantastic at Academy level, but can't quite make the step up? Maybe a season on loan to Salford would do him good?
