Got bogged down in the middle overs leaving Bresnan and Woakes way too much to do at the end.

Morgan took 21 deliveries to make 14, which is criminal in T20.

Most of morgan's innings start fairly slowly. Usually he then goes up through the gears and ends up with a healthy strike rate. Today he holed out in the deep. Bound to happen sometimes.

Shame Woakes couldnt get back for two on the penultimate ball. Would have liked to see him try to win the match on the last ball.

Collingwood did well again.

I don't like Luke Wright in the side, would much rather have Bopara, he's a better batsmen and can bowl, we don't even bowl Wright anyway!

For me, Wright is the classic bits and pieces one day player who isn't quite good enough at anything. We seem to be trying too hard to avoid picking specialists in the T20 games. All the bowlers picked bat at least as high as 8 for their counties. Why didn't Tremlett play? He's just as effective a bowler in T20 as in Tests. Yardy is picked as a specialist bowler and would have come in no higher than 9 yesterday, yet he bats at 5 for Sussex and has fifteen First Class hundreds with a top score of 250+. We're wasting him, and his strike rate in T20s is reasonable. We don't need Collingwood AND Wright, especially as both are out of form at present.

I also can't understand the obsession with opening the batting with a wicketkeeper. Prior and Kieswetter were both given that role then dropped. Davies is a talented batsman with a wide range of shots who always scores quickly in the four day games, but he's not a power-hitter capable of pushing the tempo towards ten an over at the beginning of a T20 innings like Watson has been doing for the Aussies. I'd rather see Pietersen or Lumb opening with Bell, and Davies coming in at 6.

Don't think Australia where particularly good, England just didn't perform. Luke Wright is rubbish and doesn't deserve his place.

To lose a T20 match by 4 runs with 4 wickets in hand is shocking batting on our behalf. The running was terrible and not enough big shots late on!

See what today brings.......

Again England have been poor. I know they posted a reasonable total but twas 20 or 30 too few for me after the initial 25 overs.

The bowling and fielding have been lacklustre, allowing far too many easy singles all over the park.

Having said that, Shane Watson has played an outstanding knock :(

Swanny himself said he didn't give a f*** about the 1 day series at the end of test series party.
