The reason you're still to hear why is because I've not made my opinion known on the subject.
However if you are really that eager for me to share my opinion, then I'm quite happy to do so.
Torres has been poor, there is no denying that. He is getting paid a huge amount of money, and he's not providing the goods. However, with some fans he is our prized asset, star striker and in peoples eyes can do no wrong. He's scored 6 times in 18 games in the PL, no goals in any other competitions. That's a shocking return for a striker of his calibre. However, he is still the top PL scorer at the club which obviously says something about our performances this year (Overall Ngog has scored more but 85% of his goals have come in the Europa League).
I'm not happy with his performances so far, but due to his stature at the club, he's practically untouchable, same with Gerrard. Hopefully with a change of manager, change of tactics, we'll see the real Torres come through because at the moment, we most certainly need to.
