I'll give him a chance and reserve judgment and see what he can do. Main thing is to get the bloody players playing together, that would be a start.
Agreed. I don't think (or, at least, I hope) he isn't the long-term appointment. He's a great guy who loves the club, which always appeals, but, at the end of the day, I just hope we're biding our time to see the availability of some manager who are maybe reluctant to leave mid-season.

Definatey won't be a long term appointment, mate. Im sure if KD gets a taste of it and starts getting us results, he may want to apply, but I feel that Comolli will be looking abroad for someone.
I'm quite suprised by the way the Hodgson thing went down. I would have expected him to have been sacked as he seemed too stubborn to quit, but looking at "mutual consent", Roy obviously knew his time was up. I just wonder if any compensation payments are to follow or if it has already been agreed.

Understand what you are saying mate, but I wouldn't say that Johnson has been getting off scot free. He hasn't been performing like he should be, and he'd be the first to admit it. His marking has been terrible and he's been caught out of position god knows how many times.
I think Konchesky is getting more grief because he is simply a poor player. A bizarre signing to say the least.

So a guy with limited talent, giving 100%, gets the fan's wrath, whilst a big money, international signing performing like a donkey, gets just a few utterances from the same crowd?....
I think its probably more to do with the fact that the evil Hodgson, with a limited budget, signed Konchesky, whilst the messiah, Rafa Benitez, with millions to spend/waste, signed the over-rated Johnson.
As I've said before, I'd be more hacked off with the likes of Johnson and the criminally lazy Torres, than I would some guy who, most people know, isn't particularly talented.
And so you aim towards the sky, And you'll rise high today, Fly away, Far away, Far from pain....

Good post. I agree entirely. Also, I think he was getting more grief because unlike at right back, with the exception of Kelly, who probably needs a few more first team games, we haven't got an out and out right back, where as we had a Brazilian left back who is ten times better than Konchesky sat on our bench.

If you're not happy about it, take it up with the fans then.

Aye that must be it. Case closed then. Well done.

When a manager who has not done well goes, normally it's his signings that get the brunt everything, especially if they have "limited talent". It's part of football. Konchesky has had stick, Paulsen has had stick. Saying that though, I'm still to hear Paulsen's mum come out and give the Liverpool fans grief. After all, Konchesky's mum has already done it.

Indeed. Calling Liverpool fans "scum" and "morons", when Liverpool fans are one of the best in the world when it comes down to knowledge about football.
