I can accept that, but that can pretty much go for any manager you might bring in.....I'm just curious to know why a fella with no managerial work for over 10 years and over 20 since he was having any credible success should be wanted so much by the fans....If you brought in George Graham most of your fans would be appalled, yet he has similar, if not better qualifications to do the job than Dalglish.....Ultimately, in your desire to bring back the glory days, you have to be careful not to literally go back there and discover that the Golden times weren't quite the joyride you seem to think it was.

You simply don't take a job if you aren't happy with those you have to manage. If Roy didn't want those players, then he shouldn't have taken the job. Same applies with Kenny, but I feel Kenny knows how to get more from this lot than Roy.

However, I don't believe we'll make many moves in this transfer market, although I do feel Kenny has a better understanding of where we want to go, particularly after working at the academy for the past few years.

Whether the past is 1 year ago or 20 years ago, its always the past.....You need to be looking forward and Dalglish is definitely not that..He's a reminder of when times may have been better, but ultimately it was another era entirely....Its a rose tinted appointment, pandering to the nostalgics.

You need a ONeill to steady your ship and get you back on track, or for a truly fresh start you wouldn't go far wrong bringing in somebody like Owen Coyle, who would be a complete break from the past, both recent or distant.

You do know the King is only here until May don't you? we will then likely still get well beaten tomorrow but atleast we have something to look forward to and he can lift this team until May.
