I was just wondering how many Wigan fans on here or fans in general are based in the Midlands?
Reason I ask is for my Sports Managment degree. At the moment it is just an idea, however out of these fans that are based in the Midlands, how many would be interested a regular coach taking fans to home and away games?
As I say currently it is just an idea, but has anyone got any ideas of how I could take this idea further? I realise fans in the Midlands maybe limited and fans will be happy to make their own way to games but it could lead to a Wigan Supporters Club in the Midlands.
Could I liaise with Wigan themselves or look at contacting RL clubs in Midlands in creating a big fan base. All in all I'd just like to make people more aware of Wigan RL in the Midlands and in turn creating a larger fan base.
I do realise I'm rambling on a bit, got a load of ideas running rounfd my head
Any ideas?

Shrewsbury here, and would be interested, but given the size of the Midlands, perhaps not that easy for those of us on the edges to get to pick up points etc...Anything that's cheaper than the train and let's me have a beer is a bonus with me! Swanny

Ask the club mate. You could ask Simon Collinson to put a piece in the match programme about getting a Midlands Supporters Club off the ground. Good luck with it.
Coventry as you know! I would be well up for it even if it is just a minibus or even car sharing and spreading the petrol money.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS

Yep great idea. Remember RFLANS is only a minute % of total wigan fans, a note in the programme could being in a few more from that area.

Top idea. I bet there is at least 20 people who go to games in the midlands, a coach would be awesome. Maybe even just a small supporters group so we can meet up and watch games on sky!
